The MHO is an autonomous, non-profit making apolitical community based health financial organization owned and managed by members, operating on the principles of solidarity, pre-savings and risk sharing against health related risks. The main objective is to overcome financial barriers of the population to quality health care.

CONDITIONS FOR BENEFIT
• Persons have to register their groups/meetings/personnel with only 1000-3000FCFA
• Members have to pay an annual contribution of 4500-5000FCFA/person
• Members have to provide a valid beneficiary card and settle the rest 25-50%.

WHAT DO MEMBERS BENEFIT
• Members benefit a 100% subvention of medication to persons living with HIV/AIDS and a high degree of confidentiality
• There is a 50-75% financial assistance for six medical bills (02 out of patients, hospitalization, surgery, ANC and delivery) up to a maximum of 215000FCFA/ person/year.

• Members can use their cards in a network of hospitals and health centers in Buea, Tiko, Fontem, Kumba, Tombel and Mamfe health districts to receive quality health care.

What members need to do is to identify themselves at the network hospitals and the necessary steps will be taken by the hospital authorities to reduce the bills.
