This is a state owned agricultural organization. It was opened in the year 1947 by the German colonial masters.
It employs a great number of Cameroonians (above 20.000) after the government of Cameroon from all parts of the country and even foreigners.

It is involved in the growing, processing and marketing of crops such as banana, palm oil, rubber, etc. Its plantations are found in three regions of the country (South west, North west and Littoral regions) occupying a land surface area of about 41.00 hectares.

It has for the past years been determined to augment the national gross production to over 400.000 tons per annum. It also ensures the acquisition of seedlings and provision of technical assistance to small holders.
