The St Veronica’s center was opened in 1982 by Dr Biaka offering mostly Obstetric and Gynecology services and general surgery. It expanded over the years, and became St. Veronica’s Polyclinic in 1996. Today the polyclinic serves a local population of over 30000people with many others coming from neighboring cities and regions. The services provided range from general medicine to specialized care in pediatrics, adult health, urology, gynecology and obstetrics, ophthalmology, etc.
In 1998, the center advanced by creating a training school with the pioneer batch of 23 students. The school prepared students to become Enrolled Nurses and Nursing Assistants. It also saw the creation of other schools in the center.

• Nutrition and Dietetics
• BSc Nursing and medical Laboratory Sciences
